Learning Scuba is Great Fun! (Comedy)

Oceanic ION3 and 3x Dive Mask Review

Bill Mitchell joins us again and demos some of the great features of the Ion3 and 3x dive masks. I personally enjoy the Ion3 because of the peripheral vision the mask provides.

Scuba Diving the Captain Keith Tibbetts Shipwreck

One of my favorite places to dive is Cayman Brac and is one of the sister islands of Grand Cayman. One of my more memorable dives was scuba diving on the Captain Keith Tibbetts shipwreck. With it’s abundant tropical fish, moral eels, and barracuda and still within most divers abilities makes it a great dive for the novice diver.

Diving the Captain Keith Tibbetts is relatively easy and was intentionally sunk in 1996 as an artificial reef and recreational dive site. When Scuba Diving the Keith Tibbetts you’ll notice it lies in a sandy area which leads to beautiful Coral Heads as well as an interesting wall and a drop off. The Captain Keith Tibbetts has seen some rough days since 1996 and has been battered some by Nor’Wester which has left areas where divers can penetrate the massive ship. This is great scuba diving with the combination of the shipwreck, Coral and Sea life. (more…)

Under the Sea 3D IMAX

Documentary filmmaker Howard Hall takes his cameras to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Triangle of Papua New Guinea and Indonesia to capture an array of sea life. The intention was to entertain with extraordinary visuals as well as pass along the message of global warming and the effect it’s having on the sea’s exotic creatures.

Under the Sea 3D unveils incredible underwater footage that bring you up and close with the mating rituals of the Cuttlefish and the hard to see camouflage of the Leafy Sea Dragon. For the time you spend in the theater, you’d swear you were diving the Great Barrier Reef and swimming with Sea Turtles feasting on jellyfish. (more…)
