Customer Testimonials
We picked ScubaBasics from a number of on line sellers due to pricing as well as the supportive emails prior to our initial purchase of fins and boots. Given the excellant way the sale was handled, we then decided to purchase a full dive set of regulators/computer. Once again the after sales service was excellant, with it arrriving quickly to Australia. The pricing was good compared to anything else we saw.

We then purchased a second set of regulators/computer as well as a BCD. Even with the falling Australian dollar the pricing was good. The team strives to help in any way possible, even to the extent to ring all the way from USA to AUstralia to clear up any little problems.

When my daughter and her partner decide to get into diving we will once again ask ScubaBasics to provide the equipment for us. Any additional equipment for ourself will come from ScubaBasics as they are an excellant company to deal with in every way. They will always have our full support.

Mares Plana Avanti Quattro Fins Maximum efficiency and power. Avanti Quattro has set the standard for which all fins are measured. Plana Avanti Quattro is the world’s first fin with four channels. Its Channel Thrust Technology offers the most versatile choice in all diving conditions. Stabilizers improve stability eliminating ankle-twisting phenomena. Anatomic foot pocket transmits more power to the blade.
  • 4 channels 4 times thrusting power
  • 20% more powerful then its competitors
  • Anatomic open heel foot pocket
When water spills over the sides of the blade, it reduces thrust, and decreases efficiency. Mares design was derived from observing marine mammals such as manatees in their natural environment. When swimming they bend their tail to form a channel, which optimizes thrust. When proper channelling occurs, all of the displaced water contributes to thrust. The "Channel Thrust" technology maximizes the channeling of water and moves a much greater amount of water compared to other fins of the same size. The result is greater thrusting power with the same amount of effort.
