Scuba Regulators
As you know you can't breathe directly
out of your scuba tank because the pressure would damage your lungs. So your
scuba tank needs to have a regulator attached to it. Your regulator does a
couple things: It reduces the pressure from your tank so you can
inhale from it safely, and it supplies air on-demand. How does it do this?
Regulators have two stages:
- First stage - The first stage is attached to the scuba tank. It reduces the pressure from the tank.
- Second stage - The second stage is the part you place in your mouth to breath. The second stage supplies air, when you inhale.
