Customer Testimonials
In my career I deal with quality improvement and customer service, so I have exceptionally high standards as a customer. The service at ScubaBasics blew me away - and that is a very difficult thing to do. Everyone I have dealt with has been very knowledgeable about the products the store carries and extremely responsive to every question and request - even after my order arrived. The staff truly knows the meaning of meeting the customers needs - even the ones I didn't know I had!

The kit includes two Sealife SL961 external strobe. Since water absorbs the red and yellow light spectrum resulting in blue pictures, you need a flash to bring out the intense colors of the underwater world. It also reduces the backscatter problem that normally will occur when using a camera with a built-in flash.

Since one of the most important secrets to quality underwater photography is to be as close to your subject as possible, for large subjects the included Sealife Wide-angle Lens is extremely important. It will increase your field of view by 50%. You will be able to capture that 5' shark from 5' away or fit a group of divers into one frame. You can get as close as 12" to your subject to insure bright colorful pictures.

This wet lens can be attached or removed from the camera while underwater. This allows you to shoot wide-angle and close-up photos on the same dive. The included lens dock allows you to store the wide-angle lens on the flash arm when it is not attached to the camera housing.

The Maxx kit also includes all the batteries and chargers needed to power up your camera and strobes, along with a large 2GB Delkin SD memory card. Also included is a hard shell travel case that is large enough for the complete kit. This is all the gear you need to nurture your creativity and allow expansion of your underwater photography skills; just add water.

SeaLife eliminated the typical button cluster on the back of the camera, in favor of five thumb operated “piano key” controls. The large shutter button extends forward with a fingertip-control lever that allows scrolling through menus or zooming in and out without releasing your grip from the camera. This “Central Command Lever” and the “Piano Keys” are making great underwater pictures and videos easier than ever before.

Automatic focus from 4” to infinity. Record 2+ hours of sharp, colorful video with sound when using a 4GB SD memory card. Depth tested to 200ft. Fully rubber armored for shock protection. Full 1-year warranty covers the underwater housing and camera.

SeaLifes Sea Modes which have built in color correction and External Flash Modes for vibrant color and manual control of the cameras shutter and aperture, round out the DC1200.

"Piano Key" controls - No button clusters.  5 large menu keys.  Oversized shutter button and zoom toggle for easy camera control even with gloves on!
